designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike, this hands-on session will teach the essential techniques of 3-dimensional weaving to create a round form. under the guidance of textile artist and educator Jessie Mordine Young, you’ll master the fundamentals of weaving while bringing your vision to life, resulting in a custom bag that reflects your personal style.

weaving is a tactile and sensory experience — use class time to play and experiment on your loom, to explore material, texture, color and pattern and develop your own visual language.

everyone works at different paces, and although the majority of students will be able to complete their bags in the 3 hours, but some may not! all materials, pdf resources and a live office hour with Jessie will be provided to each student
